First off, I'm a nerd. Sure, a nerd who works in a decidedly un-nerdy metal shop. But I'm a nerd through and through. I can suggest parts to build a new computer, advise you on what's the best phone to upgrade to, discuss themes or strategies of particular games, fawn over cheesy scifi movies from bygone eras, and marathon series of anime or tv-shows. There, it's out there. If this turns you off, the back button is right up there on the left. Otherwise, please continue.

I'm a creative person who works with metal and aspires to be an independent game developer. Most people wouldn't guess that outright, but I have a passion to create things. On the one hand, I've built my own furniture from metal and wood. On the other, I spend lots of time thinking, writing, and programming for various personal projects. Hopefully I can one day put something out there to be proud of, but in the mean time I'm attempting to hone my skills and discover exactly what I want to do with my life. Whatever it may be, I'm sure if will revolve around creative pursuits.

I would describe myself as a gamer. Gaming is a part of my life, but it isn't my life.

Also, I sort of have gadget lust. Not for the latest and greatest, but I am always looking out for a deal on a new phone or part for my rig. I'm thrifty in the sense that I hardly buy brand new things (PC parts being the constant exception) and when I do buy things it tends to be about half price. I'm the sort of guy that will settle for last years "great" instead of shelling out for this year's "must have".

I'm currently working at a metal shop, making all kinds of things out of... well, metal.

On the side I'm dabbling in app development, but nothing solid has come of it yet. Gotta start somewhere!

I'm pretty good at making things with my hands. I don't just make things all the time, but when I do, they come out pretty nice. Stay classy, friends.

I can make people laugh either with bad puns, racy jokes, or making myself sound like an idiot. One of those three generally works well.

I can remember useless information about shows, movies, and games at the drop of a hat for no apparent reason. This includes that movie with that guy who was in the other thing.

Recently it's been my hair. I had a pony tail for about a year and a half and when I cut it, it caused quite a stir with nearly everyone I saw on any sort of regular basis like co-workers and customers, coffee-shop people, and that guy from McD's who I see like once a month. Man, he couldn't get over it.

Generally, though, it's my size. I tend to be taller than all the people I run into, aside from some of the monsters that come to my job.

I really enjoy MST3k and I'm hoping there are other people out there who are also into it or can keep an open mind about it. While it isnt the easiest show to get into, it's not nearly as crass as some shows out today which is ironic given the fact that it revolves entirely around making fun of decades old movies.

As I said I'm a gamer. Some of my all time favorites include FF VII to X, Kartia, Chrono Trigger, FF Tactics, the Halo series, Warcraft 3, the Half Life series, Team Fortress Classic, BioShock series, Trials: Evolution, Super Bust a Move series, Planetside 2, Earth's Defense Force 2017, Dead Space series, Resident Evil 1-5(6... WHAT WERE THEY THINKING?!), Age of Empires 2, Ghost Recon Future Soldier and Ghost Recon Online, and other assorted action rpg, shooter, platformer, or strategy game I decide to pick up. Currently playing DOTA2(PC) and GTA5(Xbox360).

I'm all over the place with music. I've been listening to a mix of different genres lately including: Passion Pit, As I Lay Dying, Dan Black, Fun., Reggie and the Full Effect, M83, Daft Punk, Avenged Sevenfold, LCD Soundsystem, Peter Bjorn and John, assorted dubstep tracks, and for some reason an extremely long dance mix that's labeled Steve Aoki but isnt actually.

I will eat almost anything you put in front of me in terms of variety. I will try anything and probably like it. There is a soft spot in my heart for Pad Thai, steak (skirt especially), and Jasmine rice is bangin.

Depending on what just happened in my day to day life I could be thinking about how I can deny better in DOTA2, why isn't there still MST3K being made, why does Hollywood insist on destroying Transformers, if there'll be another Matrix trilogy, what's going to happen when machines look so much like humans that you can't tell the difference, how long until I can buy augmented body parts and be a superhero, why isn't Dune as popular as LOTR, will George A Romero make another "Living Dead" movie that isn't pandering, why there hasn't been a sequel to Freddy vs Jason, and the list goes on and on.

Either hanging out with friends or staying in and relaxing after work.

I don't get out enough. My social circle enjoys the home body mentality, so I don't get out as much as I'd like.

Also, I am TERRIBLE AT THIS. I've never really dated so I'm pretty awkward at first. It will be painfully obvious when you get a message from me.
